Catch him if you can! Ultramarathon Man Dean Karnazes is running coast to coast across the United States in Boa starting February 26th in Riverside, California. He’s planning to run up to 50 miles per day for 75 days wearing the The North Face Sentinel Boa running shoe.

Words By Frazier Moore AP Television Writer

AP on TV-Dean's Road Trip“This is without a doubt the most intense endeavor I’ve ever undertaken,” said the 48-year-old Karnazes, whose list of endurance derring-do includes this breathtaking achievement: 50 marathons in 50 days in all 50 states. (Whereupon, after completing the last one, the New York City Marathon, he headed back toward his San Francisco home, running 1,300 miles until, feeling homesick for his wife and two children, he hopped a flight from Missouri.)

Karnazes will leave Disneyland during Friday’s “Live!” telecast (check local listings for this syndicated show), with Ripa and some 200 other well-wishers seeing him off from the Magic Kingdom.

Congratulations to Boa team rider Eric Willett for winning the Men’s Slopestyle at this past weekend’s Winter Dew Tour event held at Snowbasin in Ogden, Utah. Wearing the Vans Aura Boa Focus and competing in the finals against fellow Boa team riders Brandon Reis and Eric Beauchemin, Eric stomped the comp by laying down a 97.25 on his second run, the highest score in Winter Dew Cup Tour history. “I realized I do good under pressure,” said Eric after his come-from-behind, record-setting victory. This was the third and final stop on this year’s Winter Dew Tour. Eric’s win in Ogden along with his second place finish at the Vermont event in January helped push him into third place in the final overall standings.

Willet’s record-setting run included a 50-50 to backside lipslide, boardslide switch-up to frontside boardslide on the A-frame, and then a frontside boardslide 450 off the cannon. The jumps were also flawless and featured a switch backside 1260 double cork to a frontside 1080 double cork.
