Unlike anything that has come before it, the Cyphon helmet blends classic Pro-Tec styling with groundbreaking technology. Built around an EPS liner that is injected directly onto a custom molded “macro” shell, the Cyphon represents a unique hybrid construction that combines the durability and impact resistance of a hard shell skate helmet with the lightweight, low-profile aesthetic of an in-mold micro shell helmet. As if this revolutionary construction wasn’t enough, the Cyphon also comes equipped with the exclusive Boa Lacing System fit system, providing micro adjustment and allowing riders to dial in the perfect fit. Buckle up, the rules just changed.

Dear Mr. Jobs:

Recently, we here at Boa Technology watched in horror as you stopped during a press conference to tie your shoes (photo below). It struck us as downright appalling that the CEO of a company leading the charge toward the 22nd century would resort to First Century technology to close his shoes.

Hold on a sec..while I tie my shoe...

Put more bluntly, we have to ask: What’s with the shoelaces?

So, we set to work on creating a pair of shoes more befitting of Steve Jobs, a pair of shoes that is true to Apple’s forward-looking culture. Here they are, featuring the Boa Lacing System — a closure system which now appears on six million pairs of shoes worldwide, worn by elite athletes and visionaries alike.

With the Boa Lacing System on your feet, you’ll send a strong message to the world (which, last time we checked, includes stock holders) that you’re not glued to the old ways of doing things. You are also guaranteed to never have your shoes come untied — and you can rest assured that you will never again need to stop mid-presentation to recite the bunny-ear rhyme as you re-tie your shoes.

Yours truly,

The Team at Boa Technology

Certain things just click. Summertime and blue skies. The Boa Lacing System. Colorado and hardcore cycling. Lance Armstrong and big news.

On Wednesday, August 4, all of the above came together.

Several Boa employees attended an “off-site meeting” at the Colorado state capitol building in Denver. They donned their Boa cycling shoes, hopped on their bikes, and rode across downtown to join hundred of other cycling fans. Once there, they watched Governor Bill Ritter and seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong take the stage on the capitol steps and announce the inaugural Quizno’s Pro Challenge, a week-long stage race in Colorado next August.

Cycling legend Lance Armstrong looks on as the big news is announced!

Afterward, nearly everybody hopped on their bikes and joined Armstrong for a ride through the Denver city streets.

Boa employees Adam Auell, Jason Deugan and Charlie Hamilton are always ready to ride.

.

“This is exciting,” says Boa Lab Engineer Adam Auell, who regularly commutes 20-plus miles by bike. “We are all psyched that Colorado is hosting a world-class cycling event on its own turf.”
