Honey Stinger, the leading manufacturer of honey-based nutritional foods, today announces its 2011 Honey Stinger/Trek Off-Road team roster. In its third year, the team has grown to include 37 professional and amateur cyclists, each wearing the company’s distinctive honey-combed jerseys.

“Now in our third year we’re seeing huge gains in the exposure the team receives as well as increased commitments from our valued partners,” says Len Zanni, Honey Stinger marketing director and team captain. “We believe that the retention of our core group of riders, plus the addition of some of the region’s fastest riders who serve as brand ambassadors for the program and its supporters make our team work well for all involved.”

“As the world leader in mountain bike technology, Trek chooses only premier partners,” states Trek’s Michael Browne, “Not only is Honey Stinger/Trek Off-Road that premier partner for regional race teams in the Rockies, they continue to attract top talent to showcase the abilities of the most sophisticated mountain bikes ever made. Below is an initial report with some editorial coverage links/ pics/ video from 24 Hours of Moab. Thanks to your support we had a great cap to the season and scored some National Championship jerseys (to add to Pete Kalmes’ National title from Cat 1 earlier). We had a huge presence this year with multiple teams wearing the kit and/ or racing under the Honey Stinger/ Trek team name. The announcer must have said Honey Stinger hundreds of times!
